Last week, Pantone (color forecasting corporation) named Marsala as the color of 2015! They describe it as a "naturally robust and earthy wine red" but Google it to see the exact shade for yourself. Since we happen to have a lot of handbags in the Marsala hue this holiday season and this gorgeous cardigan features it in the pattern, I decided to put together a sort of monochromatic look while also showing you how to mix prints. This all-over floral patterned dress is one of my favorite items that I thrifted from Wasteland in LA and I love to wear a sweater over it when it's cold out. I chose this grey one because the color palette is the same as my dress and the print, while contrasting, is also much larger than the print on my dress. The sweater is the focal point and the dress becomes the background. They complement each other instead of compete. I added the belt to create a waistline since the items I chose are heavy & flowy and added matching accessories, which I normally don't condone, but they totally work in this instance!
